Since 1980, Tony Kent arena
has been the facility of choice for the area's best skating talent.
TKA is open year-round. Skaters young and old alike consider it to
be the perfect place to sharpen their skills. Learn more at the Tony
Kent Arena website. It is an excellent establishment operated
by a great group of friendly, dedicated people.
Unlike many rinks, TKA has
a predominantly figure-skating feel and appeal. From the "Autographed
Wall" with signatures from Nancy Kerrigan, Paul Wylie, and other stars,
to the clean, well-kept changing rooms, to the elegant arena itself, you
will know from the moment you enter you are in a figure skating atmosphere.
Many skaters who sharpened
their skills at this rink have gone on to compete in regional, national
and international competitions. Many have even performed in ice shows
across the USA and world. Most notably, TKA is where US Olympic medallists
Nancy Kerrigan and Paul Wylie trained. Paul sometimes returns as
a guest coach
Tony Kent Arena also
boasts one of the best (if not the best) pro shops in the area. Skaters
travel long distances to have their skates sharpened by Mr. Don Moon (AKA
Moonzie) and Don has a great selection of quality new and used figure skates
available at the most reasonable prices.

operation, please call 508-398-5926
FYI
Please note, the Lighthouse
Figure Skating Club (LFSC) is one of several user groups of Tony
Kent Arena (TKA). While many of our coaches and skaters are employed
by TKA,
we are not affiliated with the rink.
Ice time purchased through TKA (such as freestyles) can not be made
up during Club Ice time, and vice versa. Programs such as Learn-to-Skate,
Semi privates and Freestyles are rink-run
programs and are not associated with the ice club. Fees paid to TKA
can not be applied to Club expenses, and vice versa. If you have
a
question, concern, comment, or suggestion
regarding LFSC, please try to contact the Club, either through our website,
president Maryann Fells, or one of the coaches who is a member. While the
staff at TKA is very knowledgeable and helpful, it is not their responsibility
to keep track of our business.
